A. Røge Hove

DEVELOPMENT

For the AW 23/24 Collection 09 we developed a knitted top together with founder and designer Amalie Røge Hove.

  • A. ROEGE HOVE is a conceptual knitwear brand that challenges traditions with a modern and artistic approach to original craftsmanship and aims for silhouettes to be both effortless and extravagant.

The unique designs are created each season by founder Amalie Røge Hove.

Defined by an experimenting and intuitive way of working with traditional knitwear techniques, the brand challenges our perception of shape and pushes our expectations of the materials and their behaviour.

DEVELOPMENT

For the SS 24 collection we developed several pieces together with founder and designer Katharina Dubbick.

  • Katharina Dubbick is a contemporary knitwear design studio based in Berlin.

    SS24 amorphous

    „having no definite form“

Organic shaped textures play with transparency and distressed denim, which sets the tone for this collection.

In the design process, KD leaves more room for playful experimentation and gives space for moments to happen in the natural course of the design process. With shades of blue as the core colours of the collection, the studio introduces new yarns such as linen, cotton and mohair, as well as denim for the first time. All the materials combined, the collection aims to create contrast of rigid textures with the fragility of knitwear structures.

Daniel Nikolovski

COLLABORATION

For Salone 23 we re-imagined Daniel’s modular sofa: Multiply with custom-made upholstery.

  • Daniel Nikolovski is a Macedonian-born interior and furniture designer, currently living and working in Milan, Italy.

His work is narrative-driven and is characterised by the use of sculptural geometries, altering proportions, and through rich range of materials.

The modular sofa expands into infinity. Two modules make an armchair, four modules make a two-seater sofa and so on. This piece pays homage to the modular sofas from the 70s and is upholstered with a bold sustainable wool fabric.

By adding a mechanism that can attach and detach each module easily, this product is easy for transportation and can be easily lifted and passed through doorways.

Robin Norris

COLLABORATION

For Salone 23 we created a custom-made fabric for the modular chair made by furniture designer Robin Norris.

  • Robin Norris makes bespoke furniture using a mixture of traditional and modern techniques, using high quality wood, metals and materials to achieve simple and clean design with an intention in reclaiming and recycling materials where this is possible.

The modular chair is crafted traditional joinery cut by hand. It is built in a way that can be easily assembled/dissembled if needed, therefore it can be packaged and posted easily. The fabric can be removed, washed or replaced with the intention to give the chair a longer lifespan and create a more sustainable product. This allows the style of the the chair to keep up with the ever changing style of the owner as well.

The legs can also be purchased in different height allowing this chair to be used at a kitchen island/bar, dining table, living room or balcony.

Studio HILO

COLLABORATION

For EDIT Napoli 23 we developed a tapestry from our yarn waste together with Berlin-based Studio HILO.

  • By using Studio HILO’s open source textile manufacturing systems, the production waste of BOI was turned into new raw material. After sorting the waste according to colour and manually carding to break down the yarns to a fibre level, new yarn was spun with the HILO spinning machine.

Studio HILO is a Berlin-based studio for textile innovation. The studio re-thinks textile production by offering open tools for more sustainable, demand-driven and personalised manufacturing processes.

Urban Fibers

COLLABORATION

For EDIT Napoli 23 we developed a table mat with the T-Yarn by Urban Fibers.

  • The collaboration features a knitted table mat made with the T-Yarn by Urban Fibers. The material originates from discarded t-shirts found in the local textile waste which are turned into yarn by using digital technologies. The application in homeware products is ideal due to the natural form stability of the yarn.

Urban Fibers is a Berlin-based Textile Design Studio founded by Tau Pibernat and Vera Castelijns that collaborates with a community of designers and change-makers to develop circular societies. They propose solutions for a regenerative textile industry by activating garment waste as a raw material. By transforming discarded garments into recycled yarns and optimising them for digital manufacturing techniques such as knitting, weaving, and rope making.
